Var och en som \u00e4r anklagad f\u00f6r brott har r\u00e4tt\u00a0att betraktas som oskyldig till dess att hans\u00a0eller hennes skuld lagligen har fastst\u00e4llts vid en offentlig r\u00e4tteg\u00e5ng, d\u00e4r personen \u00e5tnjuter alla r\u00e4ttss\u00e4kerhetsgarantier som beh\u00f6vs f\u00f6r hans eller hennes f\u00f6rsvar.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. Ingen f\u00e5r f\u00e4llas till ansvar f\u00f6r en g\u00e4rning eller underl\u00e5tenhet som inte utgjorde ett brott enligt nationell eller internationell lag vid den tidpunkt d\u00e5 den begicks. Det f\u00e5r inte heller utm\u00e4tas str\u00e4ngare straff \u00e4n vad som var till\u00e4mpligt vid den tidpunkt brottet begicks.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 12<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingen f\u00e5r uts\u00e4ttas f\u00f6r godtyckligt ingripande i fr\u00e5ga om privatliv, familj, hem eller korrespondens och inte heller f\u00f6r angrepp p\u00e5 sin heder eller sitt anseende. Var och en har r\u00e4tt till lagens skydd mot s\u00e5dana ingripanden och angrepp.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 13<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt att fritt f\u00f6rflytta sig och v\u00e4lja bostadsort inom varje stats gr\u00e4nser.<\/li>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt att l\u00e4mna varje land, \u00e4ven sitt eget, och att \u00e5terv\u00e4nda till sitt land.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 14<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt att i andra l\u00e4nder s\u00f6ka och \u00e5tnjuta asyl fr\u00e5n f\u00f6rf\u00f6ljelse.<\/li>\n<li>Denna r\u00e4tt f\u00e5r inte \u00e5beropas vid r\u00e4ttsliga \u00e5tg\u00e4rder som genuint grundas p\u00e5 icke-politiska brott eller p\u00e5 g\u00e4rningar som strider mot F\u00f6renta Nationernas \u00e4ndam\u00e5l och grundsatser.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 15<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till en nationalitet.<\/li>\n<li>Ingen f\u00e5r godtyckligt fr\u00e5ntas sin nationalitet eller nekas r\u00e4tten att \u00e4ndra nationalitet.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 16<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fullvuxna m\u00e4n och kvinnor har r\u00e4tt att utan n\u00e5gon inskr\u00e4nkning med avseende p\u00e5 ras, nationalitet eller religion ing\u00e5 \u00e4ktenskap och bilda familj. Denna r\u00e4tt innefattar frihet att byta religion och trosuppfattning och att, ensam eller i gemenskap med andra, offentligen eller enskilt, ut\u00f6va sin religion eller trosuppfattning genom undervisning, andaktsut\u00f6vning, gudstj\u00e4nst och religi\u00f6sa sedv\u00e4njor.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 19<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till \u00e5siktsfrihet och yttrandefrihet. Denna r\u00e4tt innefattar frihet att utan ingripande hysa \u00e5sikter samt s\u00f6ka, ta emot och sprida information och id\u00e9er med hj\u00e4lp av alla uttrycksmedel och oberoende av gr\u00e4nser.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 20<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till frihet i fr\u00e5ga om fredliga m\u00f6ten och sammanslutningar.<\/li>\n<li>Ingen f\u00e5r tvingas att tillh\u00f6ra en sammanslutning.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 21<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt att delta i sitt lands styre, direkt eller genom fritt valda ombud.<\/li>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till lika tilltr\u00e4de till offentlig tj\u00e4nst i sitt land.<\/li>\n<li>Folkets vilja skall utg\u00f6ra grundvalen f\u00f6r statsmakternas myndighet. Folkviljan skall uttryckas i periodiska och verkliga val, som skall genomf\u00f6ras med till\u00e4mpning av allm\u00e4n och lika r\u00f6str\u00e4tt och hemlig r\u00f6stning eller ett likv\u00e4rdigt fritt r\u00f6stf\u00f6rfarande.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 22<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Var och en har, i egenskap av samh\u00e4llsmedlem, r\u00e4tt till social trygghet, och \u00e4r ber\u00e4ttigad till att de ekonomiska, sociala och kulturella r\u00e4ttigheter som kr\u00e4vs f\u00f6r h\u00e4vdandet av hans eller hennes m\u00e4nniskov\u00e4rde och utvecklingen<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span>av hans eller hennes personlighet, f\u00f6rverkligas genom nationella \u00e5tg\u00e4rder och mellanfolkligt samarbete i enlighet med varje stats organisation och resurser.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 23<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till arbete, fritt val av syssels\u00e4ttning, r\u00e4ttvisa och tillfredsst\u00e4llande arbetsf\u00f6rh\u00e5llanden samt till skydd mot arbetsl\u00f6shet.<\/li>\n<li>Var och en har utan diskriminering r\u00e4tt till lika l\u00f6n f\u00f6r lika arbete.<\/li>\n<li>Var och en som arbetar har r\u00e4tt till en r\u00e4ttvis\u00a0och tillfredsst\u00e4llande ers\u00e4ttning som ger honom eller henne och hans eller hennes familj en m\u00e4nniskov\u00e4rdig tillvaro och som vid behov kan kompletteras med andra medel f\u00f6r socialt skydd.<\/li>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt att bilda och ansluta sig till fackf\u00f6reningar f\u00f6r att v\u00e4rna sina intressen.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 24<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till vila och fritid, innefattande sk\u00e4lig begr\u00e4nsning av arbetstiden samt regelbunden betald ledighet.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 25<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till en levnadsstandard\u00a0tillr\u00e4cklig f\u00f6r den egna och familjens h\u00e4lsa och v\u00e4lbefinnande, inklusive mat, kl\u00e4der, bostad, h\u00e4lsov\u00e5rd och n\u00f6dv\u00e4ndiga sociala tj\u00e4nster samt r\u00e4tt till trygghet i h\u00e4ndelse av arbetsl\u00f6shet, sjukdom, invaliditet, makas eller makes d\u00f6d, \u00e5lderdom eller annan f\u00f6rlust av f\u00f6rs\u00f6rjning under omst\u00e4ndigheter utanf\u00f6r hans eller hennes kontroll.<\/li>\n<li>M\u00f6drar och barn \u00e4r ber\u00e4ttigade till s\u00e4rskild omv\u00e5rdnad och hj\u00e4lp. Alla barn skall \u00e5tnjuta samma sociala skydd, vare sig de \u00e4r f\u00f6dda inom eller utom \u00e4ktenskapet.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 26<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till utbildning. Utbildningen skall vara kostnadsfri, \u00e5tminstone p\u00e5 de element\u00e4ra och grundl\u00e4ggande stadierna. Den element\u00e4ra utbildningen skall vara obligatorisk. Yrkesutbildning och teknisk utbildning skall vara tillg\u00e4nglig f\u00f6r alla. Den h\u00f6gre utbildningen skall vara \u00f6ppen f\u00f6r alla med h\u00e4nsyn till deras f\u00f6rm\u00e5ga.<\/li>\n<li>Utbildningen skall syfta till att utveckla personligheten till fullo och till att st\u00e4rka<br \/>respekten f\u00f6r de m\u00e4nskliga r\u00e4ttigheterna och de grundl\u00e4ggande friheterna. Utbildningen skall ocks\u00e5 fr\u00e4mja f\u00f6rst\u00e5else, tolerans och v\u00e4nskap mellan alla nationer, rasgrupper och religi\u00f6sa grupper samt fr\u00e4mja F\u00f6renta Nationernas verksamhet f\u00f6r fredens bevarande.<\/li>\n<li>R\u00e4tten att v\u00e4lja utbildning f\u00f6r barnen tillkommer i f\u00f6rsta hand deras f\u00f6r\u00e4ldrar.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 27<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt att fritt delta i samh\u00e4llets kulturella liv, att njuta av konst samt att f\u00e5 ta del av vetenskapens framsteg och dess f\u00f6rm\u00e5ner.<\/li>\n<li>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till skydd f\u00f6r de ideella och materiella intressen som h\u00e4rr\u00f6r fr\u00e5n vetenskapliga, litter\u00e4ra och konstn\u00e4rliga verk till vilka han eller hon \u00e4r upphovsman.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 28<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Var och en har r\u00e4tt till ett socialt och internationellt system d\u00e4r de r\u00e4ttigheter och friheter som behandlas i denna f\u00f6rklaring till fullo kan f\u00f6rverkligas.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Artikel 29<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Var och en har plikter mot samh\u00e4llet, i vilket den fria och fullst\u00e4ndiga utvecklingen av hans eller hennes personlighet ensamt \u00e4r m\u00f6jlig.<\/li>\n<li>Vid ut\u00f6vandet av sina r\u00e4ttigheter och friheter f\u00e5r en person endast underkastas s\u00e5dana inskr\u00e4nkningar som har fastst\u00e4llts i lag och enbart i syfte att trygga tillb\u00f6rlig h\u00e4nsyn till och respekt f\u00f6r andras r\u00e4ttigheter och friheter samt f\u00f6r att tillgodose ett demokratiskt samh\u00e4lles ber\u00e4ttigade krav p\u00e5 moral, allm\u00e4n ordning och allm\u00e4n v\u00e4lf\u00e4rd.<\/li>\n<li>Dessa r\u00e4ttigheter och friheter f\u00e5r inte ut\u00f6vas p\u00e5 ett s\u00e4tt som \u00e4r of\u00f6renligt med F\u00f6renta Nationernas \u00e4ndam\u00e5l och grundsatser.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Artikel 30<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ingenting i denna f\u00f6rklaring f\u00e5r tolkas som att det inneb\u00e4r en r\u00e4tt f\u00f6r en stat, en grupp eller en enskild person att \u00e4gna sig \u00e5t en verksamhet eller att utf\u00f6ra\u00a0en handling som syftar till att omintetg\u00f6ra n\u00e5gon av de r\u00e4ttigheter eller friheter som anges i f\u00f6rklaringen.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h3>English<\/h3>\n<div>\n<p><strong>Article I<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 2<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone is entitled to all the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status. Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 3<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 4<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 5<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 7<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>All are equal before the law and are entitled without any discrimination to equal protection of the law. All are entitled to equal protection against any discrimination in violation of this Declaration and against any incitement to such discrimination.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 8<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to an effective remedy by the competent national tribunals for acts violating the fundamental rights granted him by the constitution or by law.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 9<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No one shall be subjected to arbitrary arrest, detention or exile. Article 10<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Everyone is entitled in full equality to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal, in the determination of his rights and obligations and of any criminal charge against him.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 11<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone charged with a penal offence has the right to be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law in a public trial at which he has had all the guarantees necessary for his defence. <\/li>\n<li>No one shall be held guilty of any penal offence on accountofanyactor omission which did not constitute a penal offence, under national or international law, at the time when it was committed. Nor shall a heavier penalty be imposed than the one that was applicable at the time the penal offence was committed.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 12<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 13<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each State. <\/li>\n<li>Everyone hastherighttoleaveanycountry,includinghisown,andto return to his country. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 14<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to seek and to enjoy in other countries asylum from persecution. <\/li>\n<li>This right may not be invoked in the case of prosecutions genuinely arising from non-political crimes or from acts contrary to the purposes and principles of the United Nations. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 15<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to a nationality. <\/li>\n<li>No one shall bearbitrarilydeprivedofhisnationalitynordeniedtherightto <br \/>change his nationality. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 16<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Men and women of full age, without any limitation due to race, nationality or religion, have the right to marry and to found a family. They are entitled to equal rights as to marriage, during marriage and at its dissolution. <\/li>\n<li>Marriage shall be entered into only with the free and full consent of the intending spouses. <\/li>\n<li>The family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the State. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 17<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to own property alone as well as in association with others. <\/li>\n<li>No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his property. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 18<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 19<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 20<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. No one may be compelled to belong to an association.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 21<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to take part in the government of his country, directly or through freely chosen representatives. <\/li>\n<li>Everyone has the right to equal access to public service in his country. <\/li>\n<li>The will of the people shall be the basis of the authority of government; this will shall be expressed in periodic and genuine elections which shall be by universal and equal suffrage and shall be held by secret vote or by equivalent free voting procedures. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 22<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone, as a member of society, has the right to social security and is entitled to realization, through national effort and international co-operation and in accordance with the organization and resources of each State, of the economic, social and cultural rights indispensable for his dignity and the free development of his personality.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 23<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to work, to free choice of employment, to just and favourable conditions of work and to protection against unemployment. <\/li>\n<li>Everyone, without any discrimination, has the right to equal pay for equal work. <\/li>\n<li>Everyone who works has the right to just and favourable remuneration ensuring for himself and his family an existence worthy of human dignity, and supplemented, if necessary, by other means of social protection. <\/li>\n<li>Everyone has the right to form and to join trade unions for the protection of his interests. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 24<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone has the right to rest and leisure, including reasonable limitation of working hours and periodic holidays with pay.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 25<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care and necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond his control. <\/li>\n<li>Motherhood and childhood are entitled to special care and assistance. All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 26<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit. <\/li>\n<li>Education shall be directed to the full development ofthehuman personality and to the strengthening of respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms. It shall promote understanding, tolerance and friendship among all nations, racial or religious groups, and shall further the activities of the United Nations for the maintenance of peace. <\/li>\n<li>Parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Article 27<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1. Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>2. Everyone has the right to the protection of the moral and material interests resulting from any scientific, literary or artistic production of which he is the author.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 28<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone is entitled to a social and international order in which the rights and freedoms set forth in this Declaration can be fully realized.<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Article 29<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible.
