The board of Malmö United Nations Association is the highest decision-making body and serves as a link between the association, its members and the public. The board is responsible for arranging different activities within the association. We meet every third week at our office in St. Gertrud.
Nada Dukleska has a great interest for Human Rights and equality. She has volunteered for several years and has also been an initiator for collecting donations for socially vulnerable families. Nada is engaged in several non-profit organizations and through her involvement she wants to contribute to a better society for all people regardless of their origin.
Nadja Rantonen has been a volunteer in Malmö UN association since June 2018. She has also been involved in planning various projects that the association has implemented. Nada is also a UN ambassador for the Swedish UNA and the global goals.
Nahid Biglari is passionate about democracy and human rights and has been active in the board since 2016. Nahid is active in other associations and association boards as well.
Raghad Canawati is passionate about human rights. Raghad has worked for UNHCR Syria for more than five years, which gave her important experience of working within the UN system. During the previous year she volunteered for UNA Malmö.
Anas Saleh Mohammad Alamoush has a great interest in maritime issues and sustainable development. He is currently a researcher at the World Maritime University in Malmö.
Allan Gerald Sserwanga has a great interest in sustainable development, justice, migration and gender issues. He has been involved in several non-profit organizations.
Mateen Ahmed has a great interest in Human Rights. He has volunteered in several non-profit organizations. Through his engagement he wants to create a better life for socially vulnerable people in the society.
Douha Kermani has a great interest in human rights, peace and sustainable development. Douha has been the initiator of several non-profit organizations and is very involved in social issues.
Daniela Hooper has a great interest in Agenda 2030. She says that all of the global goals are important for sustainable development, but believes that the goal ”Good education for all” is particularly important. Daniela believes that through education and knowledge we can create a better future.
Emilia Nordström wants to contribute to a better society by making a real difference. She believes that education and increased knowledge about the world that we live in is the key to a better world.
Özgün Rüya Oral is passionate about sustainable development and has a great interest in making cities more sustainable. She wants to create a dialogue on how to contribute to sustainable development through lectures and communication.
